Bali-food-guide.jpg

Bali has become one of the top travel destinations in the world, these past years - And for good reason. One of the main reasons Bali is so popular is because of the culinary delights of the region. There are thousands of different restaurants to browse through, both local and affordable, and luxurious high-end places where the price tag makes you dizzy. I was wowed by most of the places we visited, they’re all unique in their own way.

Hey everyone, and welcome to my ultimate Bali Food Guide! I'm so excited to share todays video with you guys! If you have been around for a while, you know I...

If you have been around for a while, you know I’m a massive foodie and I’ve made food guides on my YouTube channel from a lot of different countries I’ve visited, like Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. I stayed in Bali for almost a month and a half, and Tora and I ate out most of the time. So today I’m going to share my top 15 places to eat in different places around Bali, in no particular order! It will be something for everyone, but all the restaurants I mention below will offer vegan and gluten free options too. Hope you guys are ready for some serious food envy! Now - Let’s get lost in food pictures.

S E M I N YA K

Chances are, if you are going to Bali, you will probably spend some time in Seminyak, so here are my favorite places to eat there:

1. KYND COMMUNITY

KYND-friends.jpg

Starting off with Kynd Community. This is by far the place we ate the most at, in our time in Bali. The food, the staff and the place is just amazing! Kynd is a 100% plant-based restaurant, and it was started by two girl boss ladies from Australia and Bali. This place is so instagrammable and you’ve probably seen it before. You can get personalized smoothie bowls, impeccable breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My go to was always the smoothie, fries and chocolate milkshake. It cost around $4 for a smoothie, $3 for fries, and like $4 for milkshake, and everything is so filling and good! They also have two other incredible sister restaurants, Give Cafe, that I will talk about later and Peacezza Bali.

2. CAFE ORGANIC

The second restaurant you should check out in Seminyak, is Cafe Organic. They actually have locations in Seminyak and Canggu. It’s also a pretty instagrammable place, great decor, all white, with a massive boho vibe to it.

Their menu is not fully vegan, but they have tons of options for everyone. Their avocado toasts, bowls and fresh pressed juices are really good! Their avocado toast cost around $4 and the juice around $3 - $4 too. The food is super fresh and they also have fast wifi there, which is a plus!

3. SEA CIRCUS

The last place I wanted to mention in Seminyak is Sea Circus. We only went there one time, and we weren’t blown away, but it’s a cute place with good food, they also have some vegan/gluten free options. They have a good reputation in Bali, and people say it’s a must place to visit.

Tora and I shared a few different things from the menu. For starters we got: “Chargrilled Corn” ($4) and “Mexican Dips” ($3.50), and for main course we ordered the “Pulled Jackfruit Tacos” ($5 for 3 pcs) and the “Veggie Burger” in a lettuce wrap to make it gluten free. I’ve read that the drinks are supposed to be amazing here.

Moving on to my favorite restaurants in Canggu! There are so many here, but these were some of my absolute favorite that we went to several times during our stay in Bali.

4. PELOTON SUPERSHOP

Peloton-supershop-food.jpg
peloton-supershop-bikes.jpg

Peloton Supershop is probably one of the most well known vegan places in Bali. Their bicycle inspired theme and impeccable food is what really puts them on the top of the list for visitors and expats. The food here is so fresh and tasty, their menu is massive and everything we had tasted like heaven in our mouth, it was crazy. Some parts of their menu is developed by Elsa’s Wholesome Life, who is a vegan chef/influencer from Australia, she’s so clever with her recipes! The prices here are great too, we paid $5 for the avocado toast in the picture below, $4.50 for the smoothie bowl, $3 for freshly squeezed juice, and around $2 for a coffee.

The vibe here is also great, it’s very open, and you are surrounded by plants if you sit upstairs. The staff and the prices here are also great, the portions you get are massive! Highly recommend this place if you are in Canggu!

5. CRATE CAFE

Number 5 on the list is Crate Cafe, we went here 2 times for breakfast, but I forgot to take more pictures because I was so distracted by the brilliant food! Tora and I had so much good and cheap food here, we paid around $4 for avocado toast. It’s one of the most famous places for breakfast in Bali, it’s tons of beautiful healthy looking people everywhere and great music.

Also, the smart cafe owner Maree Suteja, who’s in her 50s designed this space to attract Instagram users, and it’s working!

6. GIVE CAFE

Number 6 on the list is Give Cafe! And remember, this list is in no particular order, because this is one of my absolute favorites too! The concept here though, is just so incredibly good! It’s a 100% plant based cafe that gives 100% off their profits to people and places that need it. Watch my related YouTube video to get a better understanding of how their charity program works.

Give Cafe is the sister cafe of my other favorite restaurant Kynd that I mentioned earlier. This place serves plant based Balinese food, and it’s delicious! Tora and I went here so many times, and I think we had the chocolate milkshake every time we went, it’s so good! The prices are also good here, and it has a wonderful atmosphere with a super friendly staff. Oh, and of course it has some instagrammable spots where you can take pictures, like their famous rainbow wall.

7. LA BARACCA

The last place I want to include in Canggu, is La Baracca! I promise you, they have the best Italian food in Bali! They also have locations in Uluwatu and Denpasar. We went to the one in Canggu, and again forgot to take pictures and film, because the food and owners were so good and friendly! It’s owned by these two Italian guys, who literally walk around to every table and make sure everyone is good, super cool guys!

pizza-la-baracca-bali.jpg

It’s a not a vegan place at all, but they have tons of vegan, and gluten free options. We went there a few times, including on Tora’s birthday, and it’s the best pizza I’ve had in my whole life, I promise. You have to try it!

Okay, now let’s go a bit more south-west, to Uluwatu. There are tons of good restaurants here too, but we didn’t get the chance to explore too much out here, but I have two places I want to show you that we really enjoyed!

8. YOGA SEARCHER

yoga-searcher-bali.jpg

Number 8 on the list is Yoga Searcher, we randomly found this place after we searched vegan near us on Google maps when we were at Uluwatu Temple. It was just a little scooter ride away from the temple and this was such a beautiful oasis. It’s actually a yoga retreat center, but they also have a beautiful kitchen with a great menu, tons of vegan gluten free options.

I could definitely see my self spending some time at this retreat in the future, stunning place!

9. ROCK BAR

Okay number 9 is pretty crazy, Rock Bar! This place is called by many the Worlds best cocktail bar, and I think I agree. The location of this place is sick! It’s located 14 meters above the secluded limestone cliff south of Jimbaran Bay.

rock-bar-bali.jpg

It’s part of the beautiful Ayana Resort, and next time I go to Bali I am definitely staying a few days here. We met our friends from New York here, for a sunset cocktail and some great appetizers. It’s a really cool place, that I highly recommended. It is a bit more expensive, but you are definitely paying for the stunning views.

U B U D

Most people that go to Bali, spend at least a few days in Ubud, and you should! In my last YouTube video I talked about all the “Top 10 Things you could do in Bali”, and Ubud, check it out, it’s so much to do here! Ubud is also famous for their incredible restaurant, they have tons of vegan places as well. I’m so lucky that Tora loved food as much as me, and she had done some great research for places to visit everywhere we went.

10. EARTH CAFE

EARTH-CAFE-BALI.jpg

The first place we checked out is number 10 on the list, Earth Cafe. This is a plant based market and cafe. It’s a pretty cool concept, with a nice cafe, and market where you can buy tons of vegan food, and sustainable products. They also have a location in Seminyak that I went to, great food there too!

earth-cafe-inside.jpg

11. ATMAN KAFE

The second place I wanted to show you guys in Ubud is number 11 on the list,  Atman Kafe, and I don’t even know what more to say than the food here is the best! I got so carried away, and ordered 2 pizzas and spring rolls, while Tora order a pesto pasta dish! The pizza was amazing, and the staff was super nice.

atman-kafe-bali.jpg
atman-kafe-bali-inside.jpg

We only had 2 days in Ubud, but I would have gone every day if we stayed longer, it was amazing. And they also had a really cute ascetic shop where you could buy jewelry, sustainable products like reusable straws etc. Great place overall!

12. DEWI CAFE

Number 12 is Dewi Cafe, it’s located by the Tegallalang rice fields in Ubud.

dewi-cafe-bali.jpg

It’s not a vegan place at all, it’s a traditional Balinese restaurant located on top of the rice fields. Most of the food in Bali you can make vegan, so I was very happy with my food. It’s a cute little place and off the beaten path. The views are really nice, and it was a great stop before we went to explore the rice fields.

N U S A L E M B O N G A N

Moving closer to the end of my Bali food guide, I wanted to include 2 places from Nusa Lembongan. Not everyone goes here, but I wanted to give you the options in case you do, because it’s beautiful here.

13. GREEN GARDEN

green-garden-nusa-lembongan.jpg

Green Garden has a very local feel to it, and you feel like you are sitting in someones backyard. The prices of the food was very good, and the portions were massive. Cute little place, with great staff!

14. BALI ECO DELI

bali-eco-deli.png

Number 14 on the list is Bali Eco Cafe. Again, I forgot to take pictures of my food here, because I was so hungry and it was so good haha. But this place is great! They also give you 10% discount if you bring them used plastic bottles!

line.png

15. BEACH CLUBS

mrs-sippy-bali.jpg

The last part I want to include in my Bali food guide is beach clubs! I just want to let you know that most beach clubs in Bali offer some sort of vegan and gluten free options, so don’t worry! Tora and I loved the food we got at Mrs. Sippy beach club, and the food we got at the popular location Potato Head. I’m just so happy that vegan food is so accessible all over Bali now!

So that’s it guys, that sums up my top 15 places to eat all over Bali! I hope this guide was helpful, and please let me know if I forgot some places, or if you have been to any of the ones I mentioned! I would love to know which ones are your favorite? Again, thank you to Tora who found a lot of these places, and made our Bali food experience phenomenal! I can’t wait to go back and check out even more places!
