Best Places to Stay in St. Thomas USVI

After going to St. Thomas for over 6 years now, we are starting to call this our second home. After visiting 30 countries, we always end up back in St. Thomas. There is something special about this island! It might be a mix of the convenient 3 hours direct flight from New York, or that it has tropical summer weather all year round? In today's blog post we're going to cover some of the most recommended places to stay in St. Thomas! All these places are perfect for couples, families, and a group trip with friends! At the end of the day, it really comes down to what you are looking for. St. Thomas is not really an island that offers all-inclusive accommodations, but all the resorts in today's post will have restaurants you can eat at on the property.
If you are a cruise ship visitor, and you only have one day to explore, I highly recommend checking out some of these places anyways. Some of them have great beaches or restaurants you can check out even though you are not staying at the hotel.
THE RITZ CARLTON ST. THOMAS
The first place we are covering, and the number 1 resort on St. Thomas is The Ritz Carlton. We stayed here for a few days in June 2022, and we absolutely loved it. Caribbean Concierge helped us book this accommodation, and they put us up in a massive two-bedroom suite. This suite was part of the Ritz Carlton Destination Club, and the rooms here are larger than the rooms on the hotel side. You can see the full suite tour in this YouTube episode. They do also offer 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom suites. The price varies depending on the season of course, but the suite we had could sleep 6 people and cost between $1000 - $2500 a night.
One of the things that made our stay way more stress-free was the itinerary Caribbean Concierge made for us. This had all the information we needed before our travel, like packing lists and travel tips, but it also included daily updates for when they booked us in for dinner reservations or spa sessions.
2. MARRIOTT FRENCHMAN’S COVE
Moving on to number 2 on our list! Tucked away on a hillside in a private cove, is where you will find our next accommodation, Marriott’s Frenshman’s Cove. This family-friendly hotel is located 3 miles south of Charlotte Amalie. Thanks to our itinerary from Caribbean Concierge, we knew exactly when our check-in time was, so that process went super smooth.
