New York City Apartment Hunting
Are you dreaming of one day living in the best city in the world - New York City? Or are you currently living here, but you are looking for a new dream apartment? Then I’m pretty sure my new New York City apartment hunting series will be exactly what you need to help you on your way! After living in the city for over 8 years, I’ve seen my fair share of apartments in different neighborhoods all over New York. With that, I’m pretty confident about what neighborhoods I want to settle down in. Because of the situation of the world, New York apartments are now cheaper than they’ve ever been, because people were fleeing the city for a while. Regular apartments and luxury buildings are therefore offering Covid discounts (2-3 months free rent). With that in mind, we were open to checking out a few apartment in other parts of Manhattan that we wouldn’t normally browse in. To sum it up, in this apartment hunting series, we will be viewing apartments on 1. Wall Street, 2. Seaport, 3. Hudson Yards, and lastly 4. Two Bridges neighborhood.
EPISODE 1
In episode 1, we viewed 3 different apartments, including 19 Dutch which is one of my dream apartments here in New York! We also shared a lot of info about what you need in order to move into an apartment here in New York City. Let’s just say, thee process is crazy, and you need to prepare tons of paper work, so this episode is definitely helpful if you are new to renting in the city.
EPISODE 2
You can watch episode 2 below or on my YouTube Channel - Camilla Johannesen. In this episode, we’re looking at 3 apartments, 2 apartments on South Street SeaPort, and 1 apartment on Wall Street. This video will be the last one were we show you apartments on Wall Street. As you see in the thumbnail below, one of the apartments we looked at had a pool on the rooftop, how amazing is that? If you want a closer look you will have to watch episode 2 to learn more about all the apartments.
EPISODE 3
In episode 3 we visit the Hudson Yards neighborhood, they have a lot of beautiful buildings there and we will show you some of them. If you are looking for apartments in Hudson Yards, or you just want to see what is out there, this episode is for you! I love the first apartment in this episode the most. It was spacious, had a beautiful open kitchen and was brand new! I loved that the last apartments we looked at had a balcony too, but nor sure what I though about the finishes and how many windows there were.
EPISODE 4
Episode 4 is the last episode of my “New York City Apartment Hunting Series” on my YouTube Channel. If you been following along, you’ve seen us look at apartments on Wall Street, Seaport, and Hudson Yards. We’ve viewed some stunning apartments, but the one we are viewing in episode 4 is just something else! This is my dream apartment. This apartment complex is called One Manhattan Square, here’s the link to the listing: One Manhattan Square. This building have so many nice units, I could almost move in to any of them. But my favorite unit is the first one in thee beginning of this video. Another spectacular factor about this building is the amenities, they have everything you could ever think of - Wine tasting room, cigar room, spa, indoor pool, steam room, pool room, bowling, basketball filed, just to mention a few. This is my favorite episode so far, so make sure to watch it!
